Soil Map, Permeability, Limiting Conditions for siting Sizing Calculations, CrossSections, and comparison to various expert guidelines and successful model LotPlan Sanitation System Flowchart, ODH map of ConstructedWetlands systems, and variance existence Thermophillic Composting is not illegal in Ohio or elsewhere. And according to the latest Swedish research on alternative sanitation systems -- their systems were tested in urban, rural and thirdworld environments -- with systems having flow designs like ours having topped the charts on nearly everything but "ease". And the stated difficulty with "ease" was SIMPLY THAT THE SYSTEMS WERE NOT COMMON ENOUGH and of course, the individual system manager/users needed some common sense knowledge to maintain safe but simple operation. What we're seeking is to pioneer that common knowledge, here and now, with a desirable physical operating system of our design and testing, all adaptable from their ideas internationally to Brown County Soil & Water at the individual home level as they are doing in KY under the auspices of the Appalachia-Science in the Public Interest, A-SPI. Swedish Study Their terminology for systems like ours would be "Dry, Urine-Diversion with Greywater Treatment and Discharge to Ground/Surface Water" The evaluation for the Swedish city/rural systems is summarized in this table. The operation manual for managing the thermophillic bio-remediation bins and buckets is in these pages: As-built Document thoroughly matches the custom design document. And our monitoring of the hydrologic and thermal performance is documented here. Chemical testing phase is already in progress, as well as are the planting phases, since the operations data from others suggested that it was useful to know just how much and what was the result of the microbial population, in its thermal and hydrological circumstances. The microbes are the main processing engine for most of the remediation. Plantings of our NATIVE bulrushes and sedges is the key to cleaning nitrogen and fecal from the wildlife in our habitat who frequent the area near the house clearing. Mice and birds, raccoons, squirrels, turtles, frogs, toads and myriad other small neighbors. To date, the results TSS&BOD Fecal&eColi Chain of Custody look quite good, with TSS and BOD.5 well into the bathing quality clean water limit, and even fecal and nitrogen from our visiting wildlife friends is still nearly perfect for TS4 status. Plants should make this ideally suited for our lot and conserving, waste-free life, to T5 status even, soon. We have better than a standard performing sanitation system! For 1/10th the pricetag. And ideal for our habitat.
Our system appears to meet the requirements of the ODH regulations within the spirit of the law and of reason, see the annotated responses to each of the Technical Standards requirements for Experimental Systems in Ohio. We have just recently received the guidelines now to be final for ODH design ideas on Constructed Wetlands and will be studying those for more evaluation. For your information: Permit to Install Guidelines for Small Subsurface Constructed Wetlands, now under study/edit for demonstrated compliance-matching. Similarly we have just recently discovered (among the other good things in the website Amy Mills, ODH, recommended) the guidelines now posted for OSU's design ideas on Thermophillic Composting and have been studying and annotating those for more evaluation. For your information: OSU-The Composting Process: Bulletin 792 with annotation edits included to show compliance-matching.
